Unemployment In India: The rate of unemployment in the country is continuously increasing.

In India, the unemployment rate once again increased to 8.3 percent in the month of December.

This is the highest in the last 16 months.

These figures have been released by the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE).

In the last month i.e. November 2022, this figure was 8 percent.

According to the data, the unemployment rate in urban areas rose to 10.09 per cent in December, from 8.96 per cent in the previous month.

At the same time, while the unemployment rate in rural areas decreased from 7.55 percent to 7.44 percent.

In its report, news agency Reuters quoted CMIE Managing Director Mahesh Vyas as saying, "The most important of the figures is that the employment rate has increased to 37.1 per cent in December, which is the highest since January 2022."
