On Saturday, December 31, there were 23 combat clashes with the invaders who are trying to capture the city in the direction of Bakhmut.

According to the estimates of the Ukrainian military, more than 170 Russians did not live to see the new year, and about 200 more were injured.

This was announced by the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces, Serhii Cherevaty, on the air of the telethon.

According to him, all Russian attacks were unsuccessful.

"They could not break through our defense again, could not achieve any intermediate goals," said Cherevaty.

However, he noted that the Russians will not stop trying to capture Bakhmut in order to support the myth that "Putin never backs down."

"They are forced to continue this conveyor belt of death, constantly bringing mobilized, former prisoners and PMCs of various stripes to the front," he said.

Cherevaty noted that Russia still has enough mobilization resources and old Soviet weapons to continue such tactics.

This situation can be changed by supplying Ukraine with high-precision weapons systems that will allow the occupiers to be pushed away from Bakhmut.

We will remind you that today Bakhmut is the hottest point of the front.

The armed forces inflict significant losses on the occupiers, as a result of which the Russians are forced to constantly update their forces.
