Natural gas could rise by around 27% in January, instead of the 40% forecast.

This became clear from the words of the executive director of "Bulgargaz" Denitsa Zlateva during the public discussion of the prices.

The new year begins with a new higher price of natural gas.

What will it be before it is decided.

The Commission for Energy and Water Regulation is discussing today the proposal of "Bulgargaz" for an increase in the price of blue fuel for January by nearly 40%.

KEVR: There will be no change in heating and electricity prices from January 1, 2023.

The price that the public supplier is asking is over BGN 204 per megawatt hour without access, transmission, excise and VAT prices.

It is possible that in the end the regulator will set a lower rate due to the fall in the value of gas on the European markets.

The final proposal for the approval of the price of natural gas for January 2023 will be submitted to KEVR on January 1, taking into account the quotations of the pricing components as of December 31.
