[Reporter Chen Wenchan/Kaohsiung Report] A fire broke out in a 15-story building in Fengshan District, Kaohsiung City at about 1 am this morning. The fire department dispatched 16 vehicles and 32 people to put out the fire. Casualties, a female resident on the 5th floor was frightened, felt unwell and was sent to the hospital, but her life was not in danger. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Flames and thick smoke burst out of a 15-story building on Wenhua West Road, Fengshan District, at 1:22 a.m. today. The fire department reportedly dispatched 16 vehicles and 32 people to rescue them. It was found that the fire started on the third floor. The fire was extinguished at 1:53.

The fire department simultaneously evacuated the residents of the building through the building's broadcasting system, and searched floor by floor to see if anyone was trapped. After the fire broke out on the third floor, the residents quickly left their homes to escape without casualties.

Another woman on the fifth floor was frightened and felt unwell. Ambulance personnel assisted in sending her to the hospital. She was conscious and her life was not in danger.

The Fire Department has confirmed that the fire started on the third floor. As for the cause of the fire, further investigation by the Fire Department is still underway.
