[Reporter Yang Jincheng/Tainan Report] In 2022, the last sunset in the extreme west of Taiwan’s main island will be at 5:24:58 p.m. on the Qigu Seawall in Tainan. Thick, the sunset is gone, and tourists pray for the New Year in disappointment.

The Beimen Business District held a concert at the Yantian Yonghua watch post in Jingzaijiao, arranging saxophone playing, guitar playing and singing, attracting many tourists to catch up with the sun, hoping to leave the best memories for 2022 and make new wishes for 2023.

The weather was fine at noon, but the weather changed in the afternoon. The sky was covered with gray clouds, covering the sun. Tourists could not see the sunset. A young man who rushed from Kaohsiung to the Jingzaijiao Salt Field to participate in the sunset said that although he was disappointed, it was a rare visit. I visited the salt field in Jingzai, saw the black-bellied tern, and looked at the lagoon at the North Gate. I was still happy and made a new year's wish.

In order to increase the fun of the event, Beimen Commercial District also held a check-in activity for tourists at the four major scenic spots in Jingzaijiao, Yantian, Watch Post, Observatory, and Zhumu Niangniang Temple, and presented meals and other gifts.

Tourists have not watched the last sunset in 2022. Standing on the Yantian Observation Deck and the top of the Yonghua Watchtower to watch the Jingzaijiao Salt Field, the North Gate Lagoon, and play with piles of salt are still unfinished.

Tourists will not be able to see the last sunset at the Jingzaijiao Salt Field in Tainan, but they can still enjoy the view of the North Gate Lagoon from a commanding height.
