Zhang Jiahui and Liu Yuansheng therefore sued Yi Zhenwu for extortion, but it also exposed the video of Zhang Jiahui playing mahjong and private conversations with the couple, leading Zhang Jiahui and Liu Yuansheng to fall into the scandal of "reported tens of billions of assets".

Lu media once reported that "the richest judge in the history of the Chinese court system" Zhang Jiahui has assets of RMB 20 billion (the same below) (approximately NT$88 billion). Therefore, he was dismissed from office and expelled from the party, and was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Yi Zhenwu was detained for 1,325 days on suspicion of extortion and was not released on bail until January 29 this year.

On the morning of the 28th of this month, the Wanzhou District Court of Chongqing City accused Yi Zhenwu of "insufficient evidence" by the public prosecution agency, and ruled Yi Zhenwu not guilty in the first instance.

Ren Jianyu, Yi Zhenwu's appointed lawyer, revealed that although he was acquitted, Yi Zhenwu deeply felt that his life had been ruined by this case for more than four years. He is currently waiting for the verdict to take effect and is considering applying for state compensation.

Ren Jianyu pointed out that Yi Zhenwu subjectively did not have the purpose of illegal possession, objectively did not carry out coercion, and did not constitute the crime of extortion. This was just an ordinary economic dispute.

He said, what's more, after Liu Yuansheng transferred the last sum of money to Yi Zhenwu and asked Yi Zhenwu to write a letter of guarantee, he rushed to the police station to submit a report with several pages in less than an hour. "It was a trap," Yi Zhenwu said. Should be innocent.

Yi Zhenwu also insisted that the video recording is just a means, the purpose is to ask Liu Yuansheng to return the contract and finalize the money that should be paid.

Ren Jianyu said that Yi Zhenwu's nearly one-year bail period was quite depressing, because before the court acquitted him, he was still bearing the identity of the defendant and received strange eyes.

According to the judgment of the Wanzhou District Court, Yi Zhenwu threatened to force Liu Yuansheng to agree to increase the labor project fee by releasing to the public the secretly recorded video about Liu Yuansheng and his ex-wife’s inappropriate words and deeds, because his request for an increase in the labor project fee was not approved by Liu Yuansheng. should be considered an act of coercion.

The court also pointed out that to establish the crime of extortion, Yi Zhenwu must have the subjective purpose of illegally occupying other people's property, and the evidence presented by the procuratorate is not enough to prove this point.
