In the 11 months of this year, Montenegro and Turkey have achieved a trade of 182 million dollars, the Montenegrin news agency MINA reported, citing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

At a press conference with Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic in Istanbul today, Erdogan said that during his visit to Montenegro last year, the two had set a goal of increasing the volume of bilateral trade to $250 million.

Erdogan said that in the first 11 months of 2022, compared to the same period last year, an increase of 49 percent was achieved.

"Even with the current situation, we broke the record by reaching $182 million in trade," Erdogan announced.

According to him, Turkish investments in Montenegro exceed 67 million dollars.

Erdogan also said that 3.8 thousand Turkish companies operate in Montenegro, implementing important projects in the fields of infrastructure, construction, tourism and in the service sectors.

"I am convinced that our economic sector will continue with successful initiatives both in Montenegro and in the Balkans," Erdogan said.
