Two surfers at Wai'ao Beach, Toucheng Township, Yilan County were trapped on the reef, and the shore patrol team of the Coast Guard and the Yilan County Fire Department worked together to rescue them.

[Reporter Cai Yunrong/Yilan Report] Today (30th) in Toucheng Township, Yilan County, two surfers were trapped on the reefs of Waiao Beach. The Coast Guard of the Coast Guard and the Yilan County Fire Department rushed to the scene and successfully rescued them. Fortunately, nothing serious happened.

At around 10 o'clock this morning, two surfers suspected that the wind and waves were too strong and they had safety concerns. They stopped at the beach reef in Wai'ao and waited for rescue.

The First Shore Patrol Team and the Toucheng Fire Brigade rushed to the scene. The reef was about 50 meters away from the shore.

The surfer was rescued and landed with only minor abrasions on his feet. After the firefighters assisted in cleaning the wounds, he left on his own.

The Headquarters of the First Patrol District reminds that if there is a life-saving rescue situation in the port area or on the coast, or if the public has any assistance needs, they can call the "118" special line of the Coast Guard.
