[Instant News/Comprehensive Report] After China announced the lifting of strict epidemic prevention measures, the number of confirmed cases in the country increased sharply. In this regard, the South Korean authorities announced today (30) that by the end of February 2023, all passengers entering from China must be in PCR screening before boarding and upon arrival at Seoul Incheon Airport.

According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korean Prime Minister Han Jue-soo said that he was worried that after the Beijing government decided to cancel the quarantine policy for tourists, it may lead to an increase in the number of confirmed cases in the country. Therefore, until the end of February 2023, the authorities will require all passengers from China to show Wuhan pneumonia. (Novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19) negative certificate, including showing a negative PCR certificate within 48 hours or a negative rapid test result within 24 hours before boarding the flight, and undergoing PCR screening after arriving at the airport to prevent community virus transmission.
