The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, Urmas Reinsalu.

According to the information given to APA by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the current processes in the region, as well as current issues of the bilateral cooperation agenda, were discussed during the telephone conversation.

In the post-conflict period, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov drew attention to the fact that despite the restoration of relations with Armenia, proposals for a peace agreement and a number of initiatives, the process was obstructed by Armenia.

Gross violation by Armenia of its obligations under the Tripartite Declaration dated November 10, 2020, in this regard, the complete withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from the territories of Azerbaijan, the illegal entry of citizens of third countries into the territories of Azerbaijan through the Lachin road, which is intended only for humanitarian purposes, from Armenia to Azerbaijan 2021 An example of continuing mine threats by transporting mines manufactured in

In addition, information was provided about the illegal exploitation of Azerbaijan's natural resources, which continued during the nearly 30-year occupation period and intensified in recent years, and about the protest action of the Azerbaijani civil society on the Lachin road.

It was stated that despite the intention of Azerbaijan to conduct negotiations in the direction of preventing the illegal exploitation of natural resources and the resulting environmental damage, it was stated that it is unacceptable to create obstacles by causing provocations against the process.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed that the claims of Armenian residents being "blockade" and creating a "humanitarian disaster" as a result of the closure of the Lachin road by Azerbaijan are completely groundless, and vehicles are using the road freely.

Despite the activists' statements that there are no obstacles to the free movement of the Armenian population using the road, and that they intend to provide assistance to the Armenian residents if necessary, the fact that people presenting themselves as the leaders of local Armenians obstruct the population's use of the road was highlighted.

During the telephone conversation, other regional and bilateral issues of mutual interest were exchanged.
