In the 11 months of 2022, the balance of foreign trade, which is the main component of the balance of payments, generated a positive balance in the amount of 23.5 billion US dollars, or 2.5 times more than in the corresponding period of last year.

"APA-Economics" reports that this was stated in the statement of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan on the main directions of monetary policy for 2023.

With a surplus balance of payments, the country's strategic foreign exchange reserves increased by 12.3% or 6.5 billion US dollars in 11 months and reached 59.8 billion US dollars.
