A drunk driver who was driving an unregistered car and without a license was arrested yesterday in Lom, reports the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Montana.

The driver is 21 years old and has never had a driving license and his car has never been registered in our country.

During a drug check, it was found that he was driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.49 per mille.

The irregular driver was issued four acts and five slips for violations of the Road Traffic Act.

Two expedited proceedings have been instituted against him under Article 343 and 345 of the Criminal Code.

The Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Montana specifies that this year the number of drivers found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs has increased significantly compared to last year.

This is due to several factors, the main of which are the increased traffic police checks and the many specialized traffic control operations carried out.
