Since the beginning of martial law, 12 thousand men tried to leave Ukraine illegally, 15 of them

died

The State Border Service reported this today, December 30.

According to border guards, more than 2,100 criminal proceedings have been initiated since the beginning of the full-scale war: more than 430 of them – for illegal transportation of persons, 1,650 for forgery of documents, and more than 20 for evasion of the draft.

More than 950 people have been charged with committing these crimes and more than 350 people have already been charged with criminal responsibility.

410 attempts to bribe border guards in the amount of over UAH 4.9 million were also recorded.

"Since the beginning of the martial law, 12 cases of drowning have been recorded on the Ukrainian-Romanian river section of the border. In addition, the border guards discovered the bodies of three men who died in the mountains," the DPSU reported.

In Transcarpathia, two evaders

who fled to Romania

were found dead in the mountains.

Earlier, the State Border Service of Ukraine urged violators not to illegally cross the Ukrainian-Romanian border, 

as a bear was spotted there.
