The Examination Yuan amended and passed Articles 6 and 11 of the General Police Examination Rules for the Special Examination for Civil Servants today (29).

The Examination Yuan stated that in response to the high-risk and hard work of the police, and to ensure that the recruits have the physical fitness required to perform their duties, the revised rules refer to the recommendations of the employing agency, and the police special physical fitness test for the past 4 years. The current police special physical fitness test stipulates that the passing standard for standing long jump is 190 centimeters or more for men and 130 centimeters or more for women; the passing standard for cardiorespiratory endurance running test for men is within 494 seconds for 1600 meters, and for women within 280 seconds for 800 meters.
