The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, reported on the situation on the front line during the day.

According to him, the enemy will try to seize Donetsk region on the eve of the New Year.

The head of state announced this during the evening address.

The situation on the front line is currently the most acute - on the entire line in Donetsk region.

"The enemy has not given up the crazy idea of ​​capturing Donetsk region... Now they are setting themselves a task - by the New Year," the president said.

Zelenskyi expressed his gratitude to all those who protect the Ukrainian Donbas, the Kharkiv region, the south, and the border.

"Thank you to those border guards who, together with all the defense forces, beat the enemy at the front. Thank you to the fighters of the Belgorod-Dniester and Mukachevo border units," he added.

We will remind, as of December 29, the total losses of the Russian Federation have already exceeded 104,000.

During the day, the Armed Forces liquidated almost 800 occupiers.
