[Reporter Huang Mingtang/Taitung Report] A man was beaten to death in Taiping Village, Beinan Township, Taitung County yesterday (28th) at 11 o'clock. The police immediately sealed off the scene after receiving the report, and confirmed that the deceased was a 21-year-old man surnamed Li. , the corpse was left at the rental house of a friend surnamed Chen. The police investigated the cause of the debt dispute and arrested 10 suspects involved in the case.

The fire department received a report at around 11:00 yesterday morning. Someone in Taiping Road Lane, Beinan Township was lying down at the door of the bathroom at home without a heartbeat. The officers found multiple wounds on the man's body, and the tied nylon ropes were still left on his hands, and reported it to the police in the duty area.

The police rushed to the scene and sent the man, who was not breathing or had a heartbeat, to the hospital. After the rescue failed, he was declared dead. The police found that the cause of death of the deceased was not simple, and the bathroom sink was also broken. They immediately pulled up the blockade and collected evidence.

The Taitung Branch stated that after the incident, the County Police Department’s Criminal Police Brigade, Forensics Division, Youth Team and Taitung Branch formed a special case team to actively investigate.

After reviewing the surveillance cameras at the scene of the crime and bringing back a friend surnamed Chen for interrogation, the police successfully broke through his defenses and explained the history of the crime and his accomplices.

After rapidly expanding the investigation on the same (28th), the task force arrested all 10 suspects involved in the case and transferred the suspects to the Taitung District Prosecutor's Office for investigation on the basis of death by injury and obstruction of freedom.
