There are no signs that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin has changed his sights on Ukraine.

He also believes that Ukraine as a nation, as a state, should be destroyed, that it should be something in the middle - between a vassal and a colony of Russia.

In an interview with TSN.ua, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for 2014-2019, Pavlo Klimkin, talked about how the Kremlin government, headed by its leader, is guided.

"In the Kremlin, everyone's schizophrenia is different. But for now, the last word there belongs to the President of the Russian Federation Putin. He determines the key decisions. So far, there are no signs that Putin has changed his goal regarding Ukraine. He "sincerely" regrets that he cannot "bring together the Russian people." He really sees this as his mission. He lives in the reality of the history he created for himself," Klimkin noted.

The ex-minister is sure that the president of the Russian Federation will not stop one hundred percent, but will only raise rates.

"So far, everything is not working for him. Even climate change is helping us. The winter is still warm, which is working for us," said Pavlo Klimkin.

He also touched on the issue of energy weapons on the part of Putin, noting that the dictator failed to influence the West with the help of gas blackmail.

"Regarding gas storages in Europe, Germany has 90%, in other countries - 77-78%. This actually means that the issue of gas supply for this winter has been resolved. For next year as well. In fact, the Russian regime no longer has energy weapons in its hands. Only nuclear and food remained," the ex-minister added.

According to him, Moscow is trying to make the Russian Federation the main player in non-Western markets and thus hold the Western world "by the throat" through nuclear weapons, and the non-Western world through a barrage of food weapons.

"Actually, everyone understands that Putin's hopes turned out to be in vain. It is also clear that time is playing against the Putin regime. Despite the form of schizophrenia, the Kremlin is very good at counting money and understands that after the introduction of restrictions on Russian oil, the embargo on the EU is minus 23 % of sea oil supplies — the price of Russian oil is falling," Klimkin added.

At the same time, he noted that the collapse of Putin's "energy illusions" does not mean that the Russian government has no money to wage war against Ukraine.

"If they will wage war as they are now, they may have enough money, approximately, until Putin's election. Therefore, it is very important that the West does not stop in providing aid to Ukraine," Klimkin said.

It should be noted that the Minister of Economy of Germany, Robert Habek, previously stated:

Russia

and its leader are already on the way to defeat in the war against Ukraine.

Retired general James Jones noted

that the

Russian Federation was already defeated today

and Moscow had to change its primary goal, which it obviously cannot achieve.
