On December 28-29, 2022, the delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fariz Rzayev visited the State of Israel.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA that the next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Israel was held within the framework of the visit.

The political consultations were led by Fariz Rzayev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, and Ambassador Aliza Bin Nun, Head of the Political Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, led the political consultations.

During the consultations, the current situation and development prospects in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres of bilateral relations, practical issues related to the opening of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Israel were discussed.

The Azerbaijani delegation also met with Alon Ushpitz, Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition, a meeting was held between the head of the Azerbaijan Development Assistance Agency (AIDA) Elmaddin Mehdiyev and the deputy head of Israel's International Development Cooperation Agency (MASHAV) Aviv Ezra.

As part of the visit to Israel, meetings were also organized with representatives of Israeli educational and scientific research centers.
