Israel may attack Iranian nuclear facilities "in two to three years."

This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the State of Israel, Benny Gantz, Reuters informs.

"In two or three years, you may be flying east and taking part in an attack on nuclear facilities in Iran," he said in a speech to graduating Air Force cadets.

As international efforts to revive the 2015 nuclear deal have stalled, the Iranians have ramped up uranium enrichment, which can also provide fuel for nuclear bombs.

Although Tehran denies the existence of any such projects.

According to experts, Iran can potentially increase the purity of fission of its uranium to the level necessary for the creation of weapons in a short period of time.

But it will take years to create a ready-made warhead.

For more than ten years, Israel has threatened to attack the nuclear facilities of its sworn enemy, if it considers that the diplomacy of the world powers with Tehran has reached a dead end.

However, some experts doubt that Israel has sufficient military power to inflict significant damage on Iranian facilities, which are remote, scattered and well-defended.

Israel's military intelligence forecast for 2023 says Iran will "continue on its current path of slow progress" in the nuclear field

Reuters notes that Israel neither confirms nor denies that it has nuclear weapons.

According to the mass media, the country received the first such bomb at the end of 1966.

Israel has not signed the voluntary 1970 Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, which offers access to civilian nuclear technology in exchange for giving up nuclear weapons.

It will be recalled that political scientist and publicist Andriy Piontkovsky suggested that Israel can destroy Iran's nuclear potential.

Earlier, Israel's intelligence reported that Iran plans to increase the supply of weapons to Russia.
