The probability of a new offensive of Russian troops in the Zaporizhzhia region in winter is low.

The occupiers create a defense against the offensive operations of the Armed Forces.

This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) today, December 29.

A senior Ukrainian military official said there was no indication that Russian forces in the Zaporizhia region were forming strike groups, despite some rotations and deployments there.

"Deputy from the occupation forces of Zaporizhzhia region Volodymyr Rogov said on December 27 that Ukrainian troops will launch an offensive in Zaporizhzhia region, but due to bad weather, the offensive is not inevitable," experts write.

According to analysts, the recent efforts of Russian miners and the construction of fortifications in the Zaporizhzhia region and on the banks of the Dnieper indicate that Russian forces are not eager to advance there.

Earlier it became known that in the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, the Russian occupiers are leaving their places of service en masse.

Russian expert Serhiy Grabskyi believes that there are currently

no such directions on the front line that would cause serious concern.
