The Royal Mint has unveiled a new series of commemorative coins for 2023 featuring King Charles III, the BBC reported.

Collectors will witness how Britain transitions from the face of Queen Elizabeth II to the portrait image of the new king.

All new coins minted from January 1, 2023 will bear the face of King Charles III, BTA reported.

"Each year the Royal Mint presents a collection of coins known as the Annual Set, which includes £5, £2 and 50p coins, marking some of the year's most significant anniversaries and moments," said Rebecca Morgan, director of Collection Services Department at the Royal Mint.

The coins in the commemorative collection will commemorate important anniversaries and moments in history, including the 75th anniversary of King Charles III.
