The soldier from the Kherson region returned home for the first time in 9 months.

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he immediately found himself on the lines of fire and in the trenches, and was unable to take his pregnant wife out of Kherson.

She spent the entire Russian occupation in the city, and despite everything, she was able to give birth to a daughter for him, TSN reports.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, border guard Dmytro returned home for the first time, to de-occupied Kherson.

"This is a very long-awaited moment.

My hands are shaking," says the fighter on the way home.

On the way, Dmytro tells his story and is visibly nervous.

There, in Kherson, his common-law wife, Zhenya, is waiting for him.

They had planned a March wedding, but the war separated them in February.

Dmytro was found on duty, and Zhenya - then pregnant - simply could not leave the occupied city.

"She didn't get in touch for almost a week.

Now, for a week and a half, they used to call like this, just for 5 minutes, if the connection broke.

And so - no hearing, no spirit," says Dima.

The border guard had a token with a photo of his beloved with him, he ordered one on purpose, he wanted her to be around at least that way.

The couple did not see each other for almost 9 months.

While he was fighting, she gave birth to a daughter in the occupation.

"He missed the birth, he missed the first word.

I missed everything, it turns out.

Ai... Whoever says that men don't cry, ai... Let him come to me, I will personally spit in his face," says Dmytro.

In the native yard, the warrior is already waiting, emotions and tears overflow all those present.

"Give my daughter to hold.

I won't let her out of my hands for 5 days.

May it remain so until Dembele", - the young father does not hold back tears.

The first steps of the child in the arms of the father add joy to the husband.

"I have everything, I don't need anything else," he says.

Born in the occupation, she was named "Myroslava".

She decided to give birth not only at a difficult time, but also through a caesarean section.

Zhenya kept the fact that her father is a military man in the hospital, and later also from the neighbors, a strict secret until the end.

In the occupation, it is dangerous to have a soldier of the Armed Forces in the family.

"Kazala is not in Poland, he went somewhere... My last name is Sokhatska Myroslava Dmitrivna," says the girl's mother.

Dima and Zhenya have many plans: to finally sign, christen the baby, and take the family out of Kherson to a safe place.

And time is short, the defender was released from the service to go home for only 5 days.

Laughter is finally heard in the apartment without electricity and water.

Despite the war, life does not stop.
