Field work of the survey was carried out between December 24 and December 27, 2022.

It should be noted that the "Gizilbulagh" gold deposit is located in the village of the same name in the territory of the former Aghdara region, which is under the control of the Karabakh separatists.

"Gizilbulagh" village is currently included in the administrative territory of Kalbajar district.

"Demirli" copper-molybdenum deposit is included in Tartar region on the administrative map of Azerbaijan.

The village of Demirli, which used to be part of the former Aghdara region, was transferred to the administrative structure of the Tartar region by the decision of the Milli Majlis dated October 13, 1992.

One of the largest copper deposits of Azerbaijan is located in this village.

Back in 2019, it was determined that geological exploration, mining and construction of new infrastructure elements (roads, buildings, facilities, etc.) were carried out illegally by Armenians in the 740-hectare area of the "Demirli" mine field through the images of "Azersky" satellites.

According to the agreement concluded years ago with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the "Kyzilbulagh" and "Demirli" fields should be operated by the US company "RVInvestment".

However, since those areas have been occupied for many years, the company of "RVInvestment" could not operate there.

According to information, Armenians involved foreign companies in the illegal exploitation of both fields during the occupation.

Illegal activities in the "Gizilbulagh" and "Demirli" fields, located 15 kilometers from each other, were stopped after the Second Karabakh War.

However, recently - after Russian billionaire Ruben Vardanyan was brought to the leadership of the Karabakh separatists - to the so-called "state minister" post, illegal activities have started again there.

Environmental activists who protested on the road to Lachin said that they will not stop until their demands are met.
