[Reporter Peng Jianli/Report from Miaoli] Violent car smashing occurred in Tongluo Township, Miaoli County yesterday (28th), resulting in 8 cars being smashed and 4 people injured.

The police arrested 20 people involved in the case, and the investigation found that gangsters in Taoyuan and Miaoli broke out due to a dispute over the dumping of abandoned earthworks, and the negotiation broke down. Chen Wukang, the police chief of Miaoli County, attached great importance to the case and held a press conference this morning (29th) Explain it yourself.

Chen Wukang said that after the police station was informed of the case, it immediately instructed the anti-crime task force of the police station and the Miaoli Police Sub-bureau to actively investigate and report to the prosecutor of the Miaoli District Prosecutor's Office to direct the investigation. Chen Wukang said that after investigation, the case was that a man surnamed Zeng, a member of an unscrupulous gang in the Taoyuan area, was blocked by a man surnamed Tu and others from an unscrupulous gang in Miaoli County because he was dissatisfied with dumping waste soil in Miaoli County. The small passenger car met with Tu Nan and others to negotiate at the scene of the incident. Due to the breakdown of the negotiation, a violent incident of smashing the car and gathering crowds resulted in 8 small passenger cars being damaged. One person was injured and sent to the hospital, and another 3 people sought medical treatment by themselves.

Chen Wukang said that the police station forcefully arrested the suspects involved in the case, and transferred them to the Taiwan Miaoli District Prosecutor's Office for investigation in accordance with the organized crime, criminal law, and crimes of assault and injury.

Chen Wukang emphasized that the police will not be relentless in "severely punishing gang fights, violent crimes, and cracking down on gangsters."
