[Reporter Chen Yanting/Pingtung Report] In order to strengthen the connection between the east and west road networks and the improvement of the express road network around the island, the Third District Maintenance Engineering Office of the Highway Administration of the Ministry of Communications has conducted the feasibility assessment of the "Pingnan Expressway". The corridor assessment "passed in principle ", the Sangong Office is now actively rushing to handle the follow-up final report.

It coincided with the end of the "Planting Hundred Miles of Trees" project, which attracted special attention.

The Sangong Office is carrying out the "Planting Hundred Miles of Trees 2.0" project this year, which is nearing completion. The outside world regards the project as Premier Su Zhenchang expanding his achievements in "Planting Hundred Miles of Trees" 30 years ago. However, due to the condensed construction period of 10 years, more than 100 projects have been formed The extremely dark period of traffic on the Ping’e Highway of 10,000 kilometers has caused public complaints. Instead of spending 5 billion, why not build the Pingnan Express, which will make the people of South Pingtung feel more impressed?

After going east through the north side of Xinpi City, it turns to Ping 185 and then turns south along the eastern side of the plain to pass through Fangliao.

Section B goes south through the hilly area on the side of the mountain. The road corridor is located to the east of the South Circuit Railway. The parallel coastline crosses the hilly area and ends at the intersection of Taiwan Line 9 and Taiwan Line 26. The connecting section C also passes through the hilly area to the south. It connects to Taiwan Line 26 in downtown Hengchun via Fenggang and Checheng.
