The former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Pavlo Klimkin, believes that in 2023, Russian elites will look for any way to avoid ending up in North Korea.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in 2014-2019 Klimkin told about this in an exclusive interview with TSN.ua.

"The West has realized that there is nothing wrong with Putin. He can neither be trusted nor live with him on this planet. The question is how they will "reboot" him - gradually or not in vain. I am sure that next year we will have, as experts like to say, a few "swans". And let's hope that for Ukraine all will be white, and for Putin - black. For him, there will definitely be economic black "swans". The

macroeconomic stability of the Russian Federation will be in question

. I hope that the price of oil and gas will fall. Yes, for now there is enough money in Russia, but Putin needs to distribute money. The system there is also medieval. If money is not distributed before the elections, a lot can happen in a country like Russia," Klimkin said.

According to the former minister's observations, there are signs in Russian society that may indicate "dealers" behind Putin's back.

"I think that the Russian elites will no longer whine, but think about what to do next. They understand very well that they have a high probability of ending up in North Korea, and they do not want to live in the DPRK. I do not believe that the uprisings will be able to overthrow Putin , but in today's Russia there are agreements between certain groups of society. We can already see some signs. What and how they will do - it also depends on the perception of the West and China," he emphasized.

Klimkin noted "that China's role in 2023 will become, albeit behind the scenes, more active. China cannot allow this war to continue indefinitely. This affects the market and development. Therefore, a lot will depend on how we will to advance. Now we are gradually becoming allies with the West.

It is very important for the West to trust its partners, and for us to trust the West.

And this is what Putin will try to break in every possible way. And for us, this is actually one of the key stories of 2023."

It will be recalled that earlier it was explained why Putin is trying to start a war in Asia.
