The illegally built Crimean Bridge, on which explosions rang out on October 8, is currently more open to traffic than the other way around.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi on December 28, during his annual address to the Verkhovna Rada.

"The number of flagships in the Black Sea has somewhat decreased, and one infamous bridge is increasingly operating for departure rather than entry. If it works, of course. And this showed what the future will be like. It will be Ukrainian," Zelenskyi said.

He added that this was one of the turning points in Russia's war against Ukraine.

Zelensky recalled how the Ukrainian Armed Forces drove out the invaders from Kyiv and liberated Zmiiny Island.

According to him, this was the first turning point in this war.

"It showed the strength of our resistance... It showed that nothing will stop Ukraine," Zelenskyi said.

The Crimean bridge: what is known about the explosion

According to information provided by the propagandist Russian mass media, 5 people died there.

The head of the Kremlin, Vladimir 

Putin, called the explosions on the Crimean bridge a "terrorist attack"

 and blamed the whole of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Office of the President of Ukraine reported that the 

undermining of the Crimean Bridge was probably organized by the occupiers themselves

 due to internal political conflicts. 

Citizens of the Russian Federation immediately began to flee from the annexed Crimea.

A huge line of cars formed at the exit from the peninsula.

Later, the FSB named the 

head of Ukraine's military intelligence, Kyryl Budanov, as the "organizer" of the incident.
