The Ministry of Education issued the 9th "Ministry of Education Art Education Contribution Award" today (28th) to recognize contributors to art education. A total of 27 groups and 12 individuals won awards.

The winners of the Lifetime Achievement Award are director Wang Tong, former director of Meiling Art Association Chen Zhenghong, and former director of Kaohsiung Fine Arts Museum, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, and National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts Huang Cailang.

The Art Education Contribution Award of the Ministry of Education, established since 2013, recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to art education for a long time. 5 major awards.

Director Wang Tong has devoted himself to film work. He has been filming for more than 50 years and has shot 15 feature films. As a pioneer of Taiwan's new film in the 1980s, he established the only high-tech post-production center in Taiwan's film industry and the first Dolby in Taiwan. The recording studio, while introducing new technologies and actively cultivating a new generation of film professionals, is an important driving force for the development of Taiwan's film industry.

Wang Tong said that how to make a movie is based on technology, and why it is made is based on thinking. Only thinking plus technology can be called a good work. When teaching in school, he talked with students about artistic aspects, including issues such as thought and psychology. He thinks good movies Talent is not to find the material of the movie in the movie, but to let the teacher lead the students to understand the humanistic spirit.

Wang Tong believes that art is religion, belief, and kindness to promote human love. He also said that the prosperity of a country does not depend on how many resources it has. The greatest thing is the quality of national culture!

Chen Zhenghong has been deeply interested in painting since he was a child. He is grateful for the enlightenment he received from his mentor Wu Meiling in middle school, which made him firm in his ambition and continue to cultivate on the road of art.

He said that he has always used his mentor as an example of progress, and remembers the teacher's love and encouragement to guide him. Therefore, when he graduated and returned to his hometown of Chiayi to teach, he enthusiastically promoted local art education and voluntarily guided many students to enter the Department of Fine Arts. He also invests in art education in schools at all levels.

Chen Zhenghong said modestly that there are many teachers and artists engaged in art education in Taiwan. It is not his own glory to be awarded this award, but to accept the award on behalf of this group of unsung heroes who have worked silently and share the joy together.

Chen Zhenghong also hopes that he will continue to move forward in the future, and continue to inherit the truth, goodness and beauty of art education in our beautiful land.

Huang Cailang is known as the pioneer of Taiwan's art administration. He held public office for 30 years. During this period, he systematically planned exhibitions of Taiwan's art history, edited "Lion Dictionary of Western Art", trained young artists to participate in international gallery fairs and other activities, and also contributed to Taiwan's " Important founder of the Public Art Act.

He hopes that in the future, more people will invest in art education and contribute more efforts to make society a better place and create a new pattern.
