The Russian occupiers continue to advance in the Bakhmut and Avdiiv directions.

The defense forces destroyed a control post, a warehouse with ammunition and one more important military facility of the Russian Federation within a day. 

This is stated in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for December 27. 

The Russians, despite significant losses in manpower, do not stop offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Avdiiv areas.

The invaders want to improve their tactical position in the Lyman direction.

• The situation remains stable in the Volyn, Poliske, Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.

• On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, areas of Mefedivka and Vovkivka settlements of the Sumy region, as well as Hlyboke, Staritsa, Ohirtseve and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region, were hit by artillery and mortar shelling.

• In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Novomlynsk, Dvorichne, Kupyansk, Krokhmalne, Berestov and Pershotravneve in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka and Kolomiychikha in the Luhansk region.

• On the Lymanskyi direction, enemy fire was detected near Ploshanka and Dibrova in Luhansk Oblast and Yampolivka and Hryhorivka in Donetsk Oblast.

• In the Bakhmut direction, the areas of the settlements of Spirne, Bilogorivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Opytne, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Bila Gora, Oleksandro-Shultine, Ozaryanivka, Mayorsk and New York of the Donetsk region were shelled.

• Vodyane, Pervomaiske, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region came under the influence of fire in the Avdiiv region.

• On the Novopavlivskyi direction, the areas of Vugledar, Prechistivka, Vremivka, and Velika Novosilka of the Donetsk region were hit by artillery.

• In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy fired tanks and barrel artillery in the areas of Temyrivka, Poltavka, Dorozhnyanka, Novoandriivka, Kamiansky, and Plavny of the Zaporizhzhia region.

• In the Kherson direction, the civilian infrastructure of Antonivka, Kherson region, and the city of Kherson were once again affected by Russian shelling.

  There are casualties among civilians.

"For a day, units of missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit the command post, 6 areas where the enemy's manpower and military equipment are concentrated, an ammunition depot, as well as one other important military object," the General Staff reported. 

Russia's war against Ukraine 

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine.

On the same day, dictator Putin announced the so-called "special operation for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine."

Putin called on the Armed Forces to "lay down their arms and go home."

However, Ukrainian soldiers protect Ukraine from the Russian attack at the cost of their own lives. 

Defense forces conducted successful counteroffensives in the northern regions, in the Kharkiv and Kherson directions.

Now the Russians are constantly storming the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region.

The situation at the front is the most difficult there.
