On December 26-27, 2022, political consultations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Morocco were held in Rabat.

APA was told by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the political consultations were led by Fariz Rzayev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, and Ambassador Abdulkader Al-Ansari, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Asia and Oceania, by Morocco.

During the consultations, the current situation and prospects of cooperation in the fields of political, economic, humanitarian, inter-parliamentary relations of bilateral relations, cooperation issues within the framework of international organizations, including the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement were discussed.

At the same time, in the framework of the visit of the delegation led by Deputy Minister Fariz Rzayev to Morocco, in the meeting held with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, Moroccans Living Abroad Nasser Burita of the Kingdom of Morocco, views were exchanged on various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Moroccan side was informed about the Summit meeting of the contact group of the Non-Aligned Movement against COVID-19, which will be held in Baku in March 2023.

As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation also held meetings with representatives of a number of educational and scientific research centers.
