Pavel Antov, a 65-year-old Russian deputy from United Russia, was found dead in India.

His body lay in a pool of blood under the windows of the hotel where he had celebrated his 65th birthday.

The MP died after falling from the window of Hotel Sai International in Rayagada, Odisha, police said.

Antov is survived by his wife and daughter.

A few days before Antov's death, on December 22, his friend and companion Volodymyr Bidenov died in the same three-star hotel.

He was found dead in his room on the floor among empty wine bottles.

Sources report that Antonov was depressed and had a hard time with Bidenov's death.

He was found in a pool of blood near the hotel.

The guide called an ambulance and the businessman was taken to the hospital, where he died.

It is noted that he was in the hotel as part of a group of four people.

His companion died, the identities of the other two men have not been established.

The Consulate General of the Russian Federation said that they do not see a connection between the two deaths.

And they confirmed the death of the oligarch, stressing that his companion died "of a heart attack."
