[Reporter Cai Sipei/Taipei Report] The Democratic Progressive Party’s Taipei third constituency (North Songshan, Zhongshan) legislator by-election will be held on January 8 next year. The Kuomintang candidate Wang Hongwei has frequently questioned the DPP candidate Wu Yinong’s gang background. However, Wang went to the Taipei City Council yesterday to be sworn in as a member, but he voted for Ye Linchuan as the deputy speaker of the council.

Wu Yinong said today that "I find it quite ironic". The opponent has been operating and cracking down from the first day. In the end, everyone should be responsible for their words, deeds and votes.

This morning, Wu Yinong went to the intersection of Longjiang Street and Minquan East Road Section 3 with Taipei City Councilors Yan Ruofang, Zhao Yixiang, and Chen Xianwei to ask for votes. Before the joint visit, they were asked about the issue of Wang Hongwei attacking gangsters, but the deputy speaker of the Taipei City Council voted for Ye Linchuan.

Wu said that today's media headlines are very clear, referring to the successful re-election of the black speaker and deputy speaker candidates.

Wu said that the voting status of the opponents is all public information, "Of course I find it quite ironic." Cracking down on gangsters is an election operation that the opponents have been doing continuously since the first day. In the end, everyone is responsible for their words, deeds, and votes they cast.

The media is also concerned. Faced with the questioning of the runaway MPs, Wang Hongwei said that she has explained to the voters whether she can accept Wang's views.

Wu Yinong said that the most important thing is whether the voters can accept it. Now that Wang is trying to run away, he will try his best to keep Wang in the city council, let her continue to serve the voters who support her, and not let her be charged with running away.

Wu Yinong held the "Appointment with Yinong-Toujia to Ask Questions" yesterday. In response to voters' questions and answers, Wu said that he cherishes the process of face-to-face communication with voters. This is what a candidate who interviews voters' bosses must do during the election , Only through communication can we get closer and let voters understand his ideas and specific propositions. Democratic competition must return to specific ideas about political opinions. After that, we will continue to hold living room meetings, symposiums, and lectures at temples.
