The Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine clarified whether IDPs who are conscripted for military service need to be registered with the Military Commissariat.

The explanation was published on the official telegram channel of the department.

Thus, it is noted that the displaced persons who are conscripted for military service must register for the military at their new place of residence.

This must be done within 7 days.

"If you are between 18 and 60 years old, you have left your home and are conscripted, you must register for military service at your new place of actual residence. This must be done within 7 days of your arrival," the explanation goes.

At the same time, the Ministry of Reintegration emphasizes that

this does not mean the delivery of a summons

and reminds which categories of conscripted citizens are exempt from mobilization.

Thus, the following categories are exempted from mobilization:

  • persons with disabilities or persons who, according to the conclusion of the military medical commission, are recognized as temporarily unfit for military service due to their health for a period of up to 6 months (with further examination by the military medical commission);

  • women and men who are dependent on three or more children under the age of 18;

  • women and men who independently raise a child (children) under the age of 18;

  • women and men, guardians, custodians, adoptive parents, foster parents who raise a child with a disability under the age of 18;

  • women and men who are dependent on an adult child who is a person with a disability of group I or II;

  • who have a wife (husband) from among persons with disabilities and/or one of their parents or parents of a wife (husband) from among persons with disabilities of group I or II.

"If you belong to the persons who are not subject to mobilization, but the summons still came, you need to appear at the military commissariat and provide documents confirming your status," the Ministry of Reintegration adds.

Mobilization in Ukraine

It will be recalled that a large-scale war started in Ukraine on February 24, which was unleashed by the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced the

mobilization

 immediately after the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia.

It continues and will continue as long as Ukraine is under martial law.

At the same time, the head of the personnel department of the headquarters of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Roman Horbach, said that currently no waves of mobilization are planned in Ukraine after the New Year.

Plans for the draft of military personnel, as always, depend on the current situation at the front.
