The head of the UN Mission in Afghanistan met with the economy minister of the Taliban administration.

APA reports that the UN Mission in Afghanistan reported on this.

It was reported that during the meeting, the UN official requested the Taliban's minister of economy to cancel the decision on the ban on the activities of women NGOs in Afghanistan.

Ramiz Alakbarov, acting head of the UN Mission in Afghanistan, met today in Kabul with the economy minister of the Taliban, Mohammad Hanif, and called for the cancellation of the decision to ban women from participating in the humanitarian work of local and international NGOs.

"Millions of Afghans need humanitarian assistance and it is very important to remove obstacles," the mission said.

It should be recalled that last week the Ministry of Economy instructed all local and foreign non-governmental organizations not to allow female workers to work until further notice.

This directive does not directly apply to the UN, but many of its programs are implemented by NGOs subject to this resolution.
