NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that he is sure that Sweden and Finland will join the alliance next year.

APA reports that Stoltenberg said this in an interview with DPA.

NATO Secretary General could not say exactly when this will happen.

However, he said that he is "fully confident that the ratification process will be completed on time."

Stoltenberg announced that he does not expect Turkey to block the admission process for a long time.

It should be noted that the parliaments of Hungary and Turkey have not ratified the protocols related to NATO membership of these two countries.

The Hungarian government has announced that the membership of Finland and Sweden in NATO will be discussed at the first session of the parliament in January 2023, and it is expected that the protocols will be ratified.
