When he was a child, his parents raised animals such as cows and buffaloes, and when he was 12 years old, he was ordained at Wat Tako.
When he reached the age of ordination, he was ordained by the abbot of Wat Phachi as his preceptor.
Reverend Father Ruay was ordained in the year 1941 and was given the nickname "Pasatiko" after spending his days at Wat Tako.
