The Russian Federation uses strategic bombers against Ukraine, which carry ballistic missiles, while without a nuclear warhead, but they do strike.

The planes are based, in particular, at the airfield in Engels, Saratov Region, Russia.

Army General, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine in 2005-2010 Mykola Malomuzh told about this in an exclusive interview with TSN.ua.

"The airfield in Engels is one of the basic Russian facilities, where TU-95, TU-22 aircraft are concentrated, each carrying four or more missiles. All the attacks that were carried out on the infrastructure and energy system of Ukraine were carried out by aircraft from this airfield ", the expert noted.

He also added that the airfield in Engels is considered a strategic airfield.

"It also has a protection system, encryption, so it is considered invulnerable. In Russia, they believe that we don't have such tools for creating an impression, but this is a mistake. We already have concrete facts," Malomuzh added.

Previously, military expert Petro Chernyk noted that the new explosions at the military airfield in Engels indicate that Russian air defense is ineffective.

We will remind that on the night of December 26, a powerful explosion rang out at the airport in Engels.

This is the second "cotton" in a month at the air base of strategic bombers of the Russian Federation, which strike Ukraine with cruise missiles.
