Dictators Putin and Lukashenko are not yet ready to open a second front and throw the Belarusian military into the war in Ukraine, because they are afraid of protests.

This opinion was expressed by the Belarusian opposition member, adviser to Svitlana Tykhanovskaya, Franak Vyachorka, FREEDOM informs.

"Now it is very dangerous for them to send Belarusian troops to Ukraine, because it does not support the society of Belarus, it will lead to the split of the elites, new protests, to mass desertion. This will create a huge source of tension, in particular for Russia, it is not interested in this," — says the oppositionist.

In his opinion, Putin is interested in a stable Belarus, so that the Lukashenka regime can continue to provide territory and infrastructure, repair Russian tanks, and supply its tanks and ammunition to Donbas.

"Now, they are probably not ready to open a new front that could turn into chaos for Lukashenka and Putin. They are looking for other formats and options to put pressure on Ukraine and on Western countries. They are threatening with nuclear weapons. I think that Putin will try to accumulate in the coming months maximally Russian military equipment, manpower on the territory of Belarus, not only creating pressure on Ukraine, but also on NATO countries," Vyachorka notes.

The oppositionist does not rule out that the occupiers may deploy nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory, which will change the balance of power and put enormous pressure on Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia.

Earlier, Franak Vyachorka said that Belarusians do not stop resisting the regime of self-proclaimed President Lukashenka, unlike Russians.

We will remind, military expert Dmytro Snegiriov believes that an invasion of the territory of the Baltic states by Belarus is not such a fantastic scenario.
