Huang Zhiwei and Jian Weiguo, the only two members of the Democratic Progressive Party, voted for themselves in both elections.

KMT county councilor Chen Zhifeng ran out of votes in both cases, but Wu Xiuhua, chairman of the KMT Taitung County Party Committee, said that he would not be disciplined by the party.

The 24th Taitung County Councilors took the oath of office at 10 a.m. with a total of 30 county councilors. Lin Dongman was then elected as the chairman of the assembly, and the speaker and deputy speaker were elected.

During the speaker election process, Huang Zhiwei and Jian Weiguo of the Democratic Progressive Party, as well as Lin Cantian and Chen Hongzong, who are not party members, all showed their votes to show their votes.
