According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no snowfall at the tourist places of Himachal during the Christmas week.

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be no snowfall in the tourist places of Himachal Pradesh during Christmas.

This is a major disappointment for tourists visiting the capital.

However, the state weather center has predicted snowfall in the higher reaches of Kullu, Chamba, Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur districts of the state after a fresh Western Disturbance (WD) is expected on December 26.

Himachal Pradesh Senior Scientist Bui Lal said, "During the last 24 hours, cold wave conditions prevailed in Una, Bilaspur and Hamirpur districts. There is a fresh Western Disturbance on December 26, and there will be rain and snowfall in the higher reaches of the state." Another Western Disturbance is coming on 28 and 29 and will affect Chamba, Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti districts of the state. There is no scope of snowfall during Christmas in the tourist places of the state.

The night temperature has come down and it may increase in the coming days." Night temperature has been recorded in most parts of the state. During the last 24 hours, the temperature of the state has recorded a drop. Kukumseri in Lahaul-Spiti district recorded minus 7.9 degrees Celsius as the night's minimum temperature, Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti district minus 6.4 degrees Celsius, Kalpa minus -4.6 degrees Celsius, Kullu in Manali minus 1.5 degrees Celsius, It was minus 2.2 degree Celsius in Narkanda in Shimla, minus 1.3 degree Celsius in Reckong Peo in Kinnaur.

Dalhousie in Chamba recorded 0.8 degree Celsius, Dharamshala 5.0 degree Celsius, Kufri minus 1.8 degree Celsius and Shimla 1.0 degree Celsius.

Tourists are buying winter clothes, but they are also disappointed because there is no snowfall.

IMD has not predicted snowfall in major tourist places of the state.

Amol, a tourist who came to Shimla from Pune on the occasion of Christmas, said that he was expecting snowfall in Shimla.

We were expecting snowfall, but I don't think there will be any snowfall here in Shimla.

Another tourist, Vishal said that the temperature is dropping in the city and it is expected to snow on December 25.
