Cold weather will increase in Delhi

The month of December is about to end, in such a situation the cold has also started showing its effect.

This is the reason that now it is getting cold in the whole of North India including Delhi-NCR.

According to the information of the Meteorological Department, cold wave is going to continue in Delhi for two days from today.

Along with this, the possibility of dense fog has also been expressed.

Today, the minimum temperature in Delhi can be recorded at 4 degrees and the maximum temperature can be recorded at 19 degrees. 

Along with this, the condition of cold day to severe cold day is prevailing in the states of Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh near Delhi.

Now the chill has increased in many cities of UP as well.

There is no scope for relief in the coming days.

According to the Meteorological Department, cold winds can blow in most of the districts of UP even today.

A huge drop in temperature can be seen in the late evening, due to which it is believed that the cold will increase in the night.

There is a possibility of less sunshine in the afternoon as well.

The sky may remain cloudy till Monday. 

Punjab and Haryana experienced severe cold on Saturday with the Union Territory of Chandigarh being the coldest place in the region with this season's lowest temperature of 2.8 degrees Celsius.

In these two states also the torture of cold will increase further.

The cold is increasing in Kashmir and the minimum temperature has been recorded at most places of the valley.

However, the Meteorological Department has predicted relief from cold and dry weather for a few days from Monday.

There is a possibility of generally cloudy weather between 26-30 December, with light to moderate snowfall at higher reaches.

The Meteorological Department's office said that there will be a slight improvement in the minimum temperature, which will bring some relief from cold and dry weather from December 26-31.

Kashmir is currently in the grip of 'Chillai-Kalan'.

During the winter period of 40 days of severe cold wave prevails in the region and the temperature drops significantly.

Due to this, water bodies as well as pipelines also get frozen in many parts of the valley.

The chances of snowfall are highest and maximum during this period.

Heavy snowfall occurs in most areas, especially in the higher reaches. 'Chillai-Kalan' begins on 21 December and ends on 30 January.

Even after this, 'Chillai-Khurd' (small cold) remains for 20 days and 'Chillai-Bachha' for a period of 10 days.
