Turkey welcomed a total of 47.601 million tourists from January to the end of November this year, according to data from the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, cited by Anadolu Agency.

During the same period, Turkey was visited by 42.164 million foreign tourists, which is a growth of 84.77 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

In November, the number of foreign visitors grew by 44.64 percent year-on-year, reaching 2.551 million people.

Germany is in first place with 5,481 million tourists who have visited Turkey, Russia is in second place with 4,945 million and Great Britain is in third place with 3,301 million people.

Bulgaria and Iran are next.

In November alone, the most tourists from Russia visited Turkey - 312,486. Bulgaria is second with 232,709 tourists, and Germany is third with 207,340 tourists who traveled to Turkey, BTA adds.
