The police are investigating the circumstances of the death of a 22-year-old resident of Rozdilniansky district.

A 26-year-old fellow villager shot the girl with her stepfather's hunting rifle.

Molodyk was detained.

This was reported in the press service of the regional police.

The event took place on December 24 at two o'clock in the morning at the young man's place of residence.

He himself called the police and reported that he had shot a friend due to his own carelessness.

"Arriving at the specified address of the applicant, the police have previously established that he invited the girl to his place as a guest, and after drinking low-alcohol drinks, he began to show a hunting rifle and fired a shot, as a result of which the guest received a gunshot wound to the head, incompatible with life," - it is stated in police reports.

The law enforcement officers established that the rifle was registered to the detainee's stepfather, who is currently abroad.

The perpetrator was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and placed in a temporary detention facility.
