In the Odesa region, during the conflict, a 58-year-old father killed his own 36-year-old son, and told law enforcement officers another story.

This was reported to the regional police.

"The incident took place in the Safyanivska community. After leaving for the address indicated by the applicant, the employees of the territorial police unit established that on December 20, at approximately 11 p.m., a domestic conflict arose between an inebriated father and son. During the quarrel, the oldest member of the family hit him with a wooden beat the younger man on the head with a stick and went to sleep. In the morning, seeing his son dead, the man got scared and made up a story about an attack on him by citizens unknown to him," the police report said.

The perpetrator faces up to 10 years in prison.

Investigations are ongoing.
