Sonia Gandhi has joined 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' in Delhi today.

Thousands of people participated in the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' led by Rahul Gandhi as soon as it reached Delhi this morning.

Several senior Congress leaders including Jairam Ramesh, Pawan Khera, Randeep Surjewala, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja were seen accompanying Rahul Gandhi in the national capital.

Sonia Gandhi and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi also took part in the march.

The yatra entered Delhi from Faridabad, where Rahul Gandhi was received by Delhi Congress chief Anil Chaudhary and other party leaders.

The yatris will take a three-hour rest at the ashram before proceeding to the Red Fort, where the mega march will conclude for the day.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra will be halted for nine days at the end of the year and will resume from Delhi on January 3.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya recently wrote a letter to Rahul Gandhi urging him to postpone the yatra if the Kovid-19 protocol cannot be followed.

The letter states, "If this Covid protocol cannot be followed, then in view of the public health emergency and to save the country from the Covid pandemic, I request you to postpone the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'." "

This move was criticized by many Congress leaders.

Rahul Gandhi said that this letter was sent to him when "BJP itself is taking out yatras in different states".

Congress leader Pawan Kheda also asked, "Why only Rahul Gandhi, why only Congress party, why only Bharat Jodo Yatra?"
