Ukrainian President

Volodymyr Zelenskyi

's team is preparing a peace plan to end the war.

It is planned to be presented closer to the anniversary of the war - in February 2023.

This is reported by the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal.

The authors of the article emphasize that Zelenskyi's conversation about the peace formula during his visit to Washington took place after Kyiv recently discussed the ten-point peace plan.

The Ukrainian leader's team is currently specifying the plan, the publication writes.

According to European and Ukrainian diplomats, his ideas will be presented on the first anniversary of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation - on or around February 24.

"Representatives of the US, Ukraine and NATO have said that Ukraine's position in any negotiations, where it is likely to demand significant concessions from Moscow, will depend on its position on the battlefield. Therefore, Kyiv wants to prepare for potential peace talks by achieving military victories." , - the material says.

At the same time, it is emphasized that the aggressor Russia wants to gain advantages on the battlefield in order to have a more favorable position in negotiations.

Therefore, according to the article, Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin is determined to launch a new offensive between February and April, and therefore will not be interested in negotiations until he "tries a new attack and sees how it turns out."

The publication emphasizes that so far "the timing of any negotiations remains far from clear and seems to be at least several months away."

We will remind, Volodymyr Zelenskyi named the conditions of peace with Russia

during the G20 summit

.

In particular, the Russian Federation must withdraw its troops from Ukrainian territory and pay for the damage caused.

According to the head of state, "there is a Ukrainian formula for peace. Peace for Ukraine, Europe and the world."
