Vladimir Kisev

Vladimir Kisyov is a Bulgarian politician, a candidate for mayor of Sofia, nominated by the SDS. Kisyov, one of the most recognizable political and public figures in our country, was born from the SDS quota

The Union of Democratic Forces (SDS) is a Bulgarian right-wing political party, the successor of.

He was twice deputy minister, chief negotiator for Bulgaria's accession to the EU, former chairman of the SOS.

He also represented Bulgaria in the EU Committee of the Regions for 12 years, was director of the European Institute and held other important public positions.

I ask him about the "black stamp" that two EU countries put on us for Schengen, whether we are ready for the Eurozone and Schengen, as well as about the dramatic neighborly "dialogue" with the RSM.

Personally, I think we are ready for both Schengen and the Eurozone.

And the claims that other countries expressed that they had against us could be set as tasks to be completed in the shortest possible time.

Some of them must be worked on jointly, because it is about our common border in the EU.

Our border guards guard this furrow with their bodies like modern "Shipka militiamen".

They don't seem to realize in these two countries that criticize us what would happen if the dedicated Bulgarian border guards were not on the line.

In my opinion, the main reasons for our not being admitted to Schengen are internal-political - both for the Netherlands and for Austria.

Purely formally, we have fulfilled the necessary requirements and criteria.

I believe that, without delay, within the policy framework of the possible next government, whatever it may be, our entry into Schengen should be a priority, alongside the Sustainable Development Plan.

Otherwise, only Bulgarian citizens will suffer.

On the occasion of the drama surrounding the painful topic for many Bulgarians with the adoption of the RSM in the EU, I think that once again there was a lack of good communication with the EU.

Apparently, over the years, we never managed to properly explain the Bulgarian position, the history of the relations between our two countries.

This is the weakness in the Bulgarian position.

Of course, I think it is important to recall also the long arm of Moscow, which wants instability in the Balkans, together with the cooperation of Serbia, which succeeded in a magnificent way, by adding fuel to the fire, to bring about the result that we are seeing.

It is undoubtedly of great importance for Russia's geopolitics.

I continue to deal with European issues, I am the chairman of the Board of the European Institute

and the "Lale" Foundation - for the problems of disadvantaged people.

I work as a volunteer, without remuneration.

I think it is important for a person to work for the cause, for the life of Bulgarians to become better and their standard more European.
