As a result of a shooting at a Kurdish cultural center and a hairdressing salon in the center of Paris on December 23, a third person was killed, the purpose of the attacker is currently unknown.

This is reported by AFP and BBC.

The Paris prosecutor's office informed about the increase in the number of victims.

"Three dead, one person in intensive care and two people with serious injuries," the department said. 

The prosecutor's office also announced that it had opened a criminal investigation into the murder.  

It will be recalled that an armed man opened fire in the center of Paris near the Gare de l'Est station near the Kurdish cultural center and a hair salon.

The police quickly and without resistance detained the 69-year-old suspect along with the weapon.

There is currently no information on the motive or purpose of the shooting.

However, according to the media,

the suspect is a French citizen known to the police for two attempted murders.

A witness to the shooting said that she heard seven or eight rounds.

Another eyewitness said that the street is now filled with emergency services, so they had to wait for an opportunity to leave.

As for the condition of the victims, all the wounded are in serious condition due to serious injuries.

Interior Minister Gérald Darmanen said he was on his way to Paris to visit the scene of the "dramatic shooting", adding that his thoughts were with the friends and family of the victims.
