The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extended quarantine restrictions due to the coronavirus.

They will be valid until April 30, 2023. 

This was reported by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk. 

"Amendments were made to the order of the CMU dated 25.03.2020 N 338 "On the transfer of the unified state system of civil protection to the state of emergency" and the resolution of the CMU dated 09.12.2020 N 1236 "On the establishment of quarantine and the introduction of restrictive anti-epidemic measures in order to prevent the spread on the territory of Ukraine acute respiratory disease COVID-19, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus." The state of emergency has been extended for the unified state system of civil protection throughout the territory of Ukraine until 04/30/2023. Quarantine has also been extended throughout the territory of Ukraine until 04/30/2023," it says in the message. 

The coronavirus in Ukraine 

In Ukraine, a case of coronavirus disease was first diagnosed on March 3, 2020 in Chernivtsi.

On March 13, the first death due to the disease COVID-19 was recorded. 

On December 22, the chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine, Ihor Kuzin, announced on the air of a telethon that the number of patients with coronavirus is decreasing in Ukraine.

In the last week, 4,200 cases of COVID-19 were registered in Ukraine, which is less than a week earlier, vaccination is ongoing.
