A 75-year-old landlord in the United States is now facing up to 42 criminal charges for allegedly threatening 30 tenants with sexual favors or eviction to make them homeless.

[Instant News/Comprehensive Report] A 75-year-old landlord in the United States is suspected of asking 30 tenants to "provide sexual services" as rent payments. The age range of the victims ranges from 22 to 61. In addition to women, men are also victims.

The landlord now faces criminal charges and has been charged with up to 42 counts.

According to comprehensive foreign media reports, the Union County Prosecutor's Office in New Jersey, the United States (Union County Prosecutor's Office) issued a statement on the 21st of this month, stating that the 75-year-old male landlord Joseph Centanni (Joseph Centanni) had sold males to males from 2013 to 2020. Requesting sexual services from female tenants in exchange for “rent reductions, non-eviction evictions, and other forms of financial assistance.”

It is reported that there were as many as 30 victims, and the victims were all low-income tenants.

If the tenant did not cooperate, or hesitated to provide sexual services in exchange for the "benefits" provided by Sentani, Sentani threatened the tenant with eviction and other retaliatory measures to force the tenant to cooperate.

He reached an agreement with the court in 2021 to sell all real estate under his name, pay a settlement of US$4.5 million (approximately NT$140 million), and was prohibited by the relevant authorities from owning and managing residential real estate.

Now, however, Sentani faces criminal charges and has been indicted on 42 counts.

He denies committing all the crimes, arguing he did not commit any wrongdoing.
